Last year, sometime in February, I had the idea to create a minecraft survival server based on a strong community.  With a few close friends from past servers, we all started brainstorming and collaborated to work on ideas for this new server. After month or so, we became public. This was the very beginning of the server you know as brotown. Now, a year later, It's truly hard to believe that the community has come this far. I honestly did not expect brotown to receive 100 members even, and with everyone's support, we have reached over 1000 community members and about $1000 in donations! This is true support that I cannot praise enough.


This Saturday, March 3rd, we will be holding a special anniversary event. It will last a few hours, and will be held at a certain time to include some of the european members of the server. The event will include: PvP, PvE, spleef, pig racing, drop parties, exploration, drunken parties, rollercoaster rides, scavenger hunts, hidden items, and much, much more. We hope that everyone is able to partipate in this event!

 In other news, Minecraft 1.2 was released today. We will try our best to update the server as soon as possible. The Bukkit Team is hard at work trying to get all the bugs worked out. Please be patient!


               

Once the event is over, we will work on the new map. It may take a while as plugins, gameplay, and the spawn for the new map will be planned. We will try hard to get these updates rolled out quick! A temporary map may be in order as bukkit might take a while to get released!
